THE 2012 PSC ELECTIONS

Watch your home mail the week of April 2nd for your ballot in the PSC elections.

The election is uncontested, but your vote has meaning.

A vote for Barbara Bowen and the New Caucus slate increases power of the union leadership at a crucial moment when the union must:

1) Demand an alternative to Pathways that respects faculty governance and maintains the integrity of a CUNY education;

(2) Secure permanent health insurance for adjuncts and protecting the Welfare Fund;

(3) Negotiate raises and a fair contract in a climate of union concessions.

With your support, New Caucus leadership of the PSC has won:

●  Increased funding for CUNY
●  An end to two decades of salary erosion
●  Sabbaticals at 80% pay
●  Defeat of furloughs
●  Paid research leave for untenured faculty
●  Paid parental leave
●  Professional development grants for professional staff, for adjuncts
●  Paid office hours for adjuncts
●  Protection of academic freedom
●  Overtime agreement for HEOs

Ballots will be mailed April 2 and must be returned by April 27.

Your vote counts.
